Land Records

The Town Clerk's office is responsible for the filing of 180 different types of deeds. Recording hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Documents received after 4:00 p.m. will be the first recorded the following day.

PLEASE NOTE:  NEW RECORDING FEES, SHOWN BELOW, BECOME EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2025 (per HB 7287)  

NEW FEES MUST BE PAID FOR ANY DOCUMENT RECEIVED BY THE TOWN CLERK ON OR AFTER JULY 1 (so if documents are mailed or sent via express, and will arrive July 1 or later, the new fees must be included)


Fees Are as Follows


To Record Documents

  • $70 FIRST PAGE EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2025
  • $5 each subsequent page or portion


Nominee Documents (MERS or Dart)

  • $160 NOMINEE AS GRANTOR (FLAT FEE) EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2025
  • $160 NOMINEE AS GRANTEE EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2025
  • $5 Each Additional Page Nominee as Grantee


To Record Maps

  • $20 Survey and subdivision maps
  • $30 Maps of subdivisions of 3 or more parcels

Copies of documents may be made.  There is a public copy machine in the office.


Additional Fees

  • $1 per page Land Record document
  • $2 to certify document
  • $3 copy of subdivision or survey map
  • $2 to certify a map
