The Woodbridge Police Department is pleased to welcome Deputy Chief Raymond Quinn. Deputy Chief Quinn was officially sworn in during a ceremony held at Police Headquarters in December.
Deputy Chief Quinn brings extensive experience and knowledge to the department, having previously served the Town of Hamden for more than 28 years. During his tenure with the Hamden Police Department, he held several key leadership roles, including supervising the Patrol Division, Detective Division, Professional Standards Bureau, and the SWAT Team. Deputy Chief Quinn is a well-respected law enforcement leader and will be a great addition to the Woodbridge Police Department and our community. Congratulations to Deputy Chief Quinn.

The Town of Woodbridge is pleased to announce the appointment of Ronald Smith, Jr., as new Chief of Police. The official appointment, made by the Board of Police Commissioners, took place late July. Chief Smith brings decades of experience in law enforcement, having begun his career as a patrol officer with the Hamden Police Department. He advanced through the ranks, serving as Detective, Sergeant, and Lieutenant, and was promoted to Captain in 2006. In August 2021, he joined the Woodbridge Police Department as the Deputy Chief of Police.
