Residents may register to vote until the end of the business day on Tuesday Nov. 1. The Registrar of Voters office will be open on Nov. 1 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Residents may register to vote by mail or in person at the Registrar of Voters office or the Town Clerk's office at Woodbridge Town Hall, 11 Meetinghouse Lane.
On Monday November 7, a special voter registration session will be held for those who have turned 18, become a US citizen, or moved to Connecticut since November 1 of this year. This registration session is also open to members of the Armed Forces, and former Armed Forces members who have been discharged within the calendar year.
For residents who miss these deadlines, the state allows Election Day Registration. The EDR location in Woodbridge is the Senior Center Lounge located on the lower level of the Center Building at 4 Meetinghouse Lane. Hours for the EDR location are 6 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Applications to register to vote must be fully completed by 8 p.m. Unregistered people in the EDR line after 8 p.m. will be turned away and unable to vote. To take advantage of EDR, residents must provide proof of identity and proof of residence (a drivers' license satisfies both categories).
