While the IRS has extended the tax deadline until May 17 this year due to all the tax changes necessitated by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, unfortunately our Woodbridge VITA team is no longer accepting clients for telephone intakes.
There are still options! If you are able to take photos of your documents with a phone and upload them to a website, then you will be able to complete your return with a VITA preparer online. Go to http://www.getyourrefund.org/NHWL-CT to begin. This is the Wilson Branch Library VITA Site at which all of us at the Woodbridge Site also volunteer.
This new and secure national VITA website was created to serve the virtual needs of the program during the pandemic. To use this website, you will be directed to fill out the intake questionnaire and upload specific documents.
If you would prefer an in-person experience, Emanuel Lutheran Church in New Haven. 280 Humphrey Street has a walk-in tax site Wed. 10-2 and Sun 12-4. There is limited availability.
