[ARCHIVED] Woodbridge Rec Offers Virtual Summer Camp

The Woodbridge Recreation Department is announcing its new virtual summer camp for 2020.  Our goal is to provide our children with a safe environment and still receive a fun filled program of events every week.  Our virtual summer camp will run 10 am to 12 pm, five days a week, for six weeks, starting on June 22 thru July 31, 2020.  We know how much summer camp means to so many, but the challenges of running a safe on-site program are overwhelming in light of COVID-19.

Our staff is currently engaged in developing programs for all ages that will hopefully meet the needs of our children as we move through this COVID-19 pandemic summer.  This is new territory for all of us!  Our Recreation Department is committed to working to provide a fun virtual summer camp program.   We have provided 55 years of traditional summer camp with indoor and outdoor activities along with many specials (drama, game room, arts & crafts) and off-site fun trips.  We know that many parents may be out of work and suffering financial hardship.  So, we have scaled down our cost to $30.00 per week for the first child, $20.00 per week for the second child, and $10.00 per week for the third child.  The fourth child and above will be cost free.  Please be assured that we are here for your children and we will do whatever we can financially to make that work.  We have two main philosophies here at Woodbridge Recreation the safety and well-being of your child and that no child is left out of a summer filled with fun.

In the near future we will be sending out more details with a full list of fun summer activities that we expect to offer through our virtual summer camp for Rec Camp #56 and going strong!

Stay safe and well!
