Intergenerational Letter Writing Campaign : The Woodbridge Center, in conjunction with Woodbridge Youth Services, will host letter writing between local residents ages 5-18 and the senior population 70+ years old. This intergenerational writing campaign will help stave off boredom and isolation during the COVID 19 pandemic quarantine.
Letters may contain drawings, poems, observations and general communications and should be placed in an un-sealed envelope. The Woodbridge Center will address and seal all envelopes and mail them to appropriate community members. Older students may receive community service for participating. Letters may be dropped off to the Human Services department by no-contact appointments. All drop-offs will be arranged by phone or email to the bench outside The Woodbridge Center. Call 203-389-3429, 203-389-3430 or email firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com for more information.
Join our mask-making team! Those contributing either ‘Sew’ or ‘no-sew’ masks to Woodbridge Human Services may also receive community service hours. Follow this link to access both patterns and for more information about making masks: https://woodbridgect.org/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=667.
To receive community service related to any of this work please contact Woodbridge Youth Services Director Nancy Pfund.
