PRESS RELEASE
June 6, 2019
The Woodbridge Police Department is reminding residents to report suspicious activity and to secure their vehicles and garages following several recent thefts from locked and unlocked vehicles, all of which have occurred within the past few weeks during the overnight hours. These thefts have been spread throughout
the town, and have not been limited to any specific area.
Entry into some of the vehicles was made by breaking the vehicle’s window to remove valuables that had been left in plain sight.
The following advice is provided for all residents:
- Lock your vehicles, homes, and garages.
- Use vehicle and residential alarm systems, if so equipped.
- Do not leave valuables in your vehicles, move them out of plain view or secure in the trunk.
- Immediately report any suspicious activity, persons, or vehicles to this Department by calling 911.
