The Woodbridge Police Department and the Woodbridge Rotary Club will be teaming up and working in conjunction with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency to host a “Drug Take-Back” on National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, April 27, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The event will provide residents with a safe, convenient and responsible way to dispose of unused or expired prescription drugs.
Woodbridge Police will be on hand to answer questions from residents and to discuss the proper way to dispose of medications.
In 2017, the Woodbridge Police Department, with the help of the Woodbridge Rotary Club and the Bethany Orange Woodbridge Drug and Alcohol Action Committee (BOWDAAC) installed a drug take-back box inside the Police Department front lobby, which is accessible 24 hours a day. To date, in excess of 300 lbs. of unwanted prescription medications have been collected and disposed of.
