Dwight Rowland, Beth-Wood Baseball League president, presented his group's annual donation to First Selectman Beth Heller who accepted the check on behalf of the Town of Woodbridge. This $3,000 donation check is given to help the Town make improvements to and maintain its ball fields and to cover any overtime put in by the Woodbridge Parks Department.
The League’s Opening Day Ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 27th on the Town Green. Local elected officials will be present to celebrate the 47th anniversary and Opening Day Ceremony which starts with their parade of players. The Woodbridge Volunteer Fire Association will once again have fire apparatus on display and will provide hot dogs, hamburgers and beverages for the crowd. Other local organizations / groups are encouraged to join the festivities on the Woodbridge Town Green.
