Mary Swansiger, BSN, MPH, Certified Diabetes Educator from Griffin Hospital’s Community Outreach and Parish Nursing Department, will speak about diabetes and the different types, symptoms, risk factors, treatment options, and prevention. Learn more about your risk for diabetes and how to prevent it. If you have prediabetes or diabetes already a multi-week self management program or prevention program will be offered including: the CDC Prevent T2 Diabetes Program and the Diabetes Self-Management Workshop, as well as the Chronic Disease Self-Management Workshop.
