At the January 11th meeting of the Woodbridge Economic Development Commission, JCC officials proudly showed off the new amenities that will be available to members and the community.
Judy Alperin, Chief Executive Office of the Jewish Federation of Greater New Haven, lead a one hour tour of the re-built facility for the commission members, First Selectman Beth Heller, and Deputy First Selectman Mica Cardozo.
Highlights of the tour included: preschool and after-school program space, a library, and an auditorium. The group also saw the pool, gym, and spa areas, which have been expanded and outfitted with new equipment for activities such as spinning and fitness classes.
In addition there is expanded office space as well as new co-working and maker-space. The JCC will also soon have a newly-expanded café featuring Willoughby coffee and take-way food.
Also accompanying the tour was Debbie Brander, Director of Member and Community Engagement, who emphasized the JCC's role in the community. She welcomed all community members to come take a look and said, “This is a non-profit community center built on Jewish values. It is open to people of all faiths.
