The South Central Regional Multi-Jurisdiction Hazard Mitigation Plan covers Woodbridge along with 13 surrounding municipalities. The plan is being updated to provide the region with a comprehensive examination of all natural hazards effecting the area, and to provide a framework for informed decision-making regarding the selection of cost-effective mitigation actions.
The public is asked to provide ideas regarding lessening the impact of natural hazards in our region. There are two ways Woodbridge residents can participate in the plan update: taking an online survey, and attending an upcoming public meeting on Dec. 5th at 6:30 pm in Room 16 of the Center Building, 4 Meetinghouse Lane in Woodbridge.
For more information and a link to the online survey, visit the project's website at: http://scrcog.org/regional-planning/regional-hazard-mitigation/.
