The Woodbridge Conservation Commission invites the public to their next monthly hike to be held Saturday, November 4th at 1:00 pm. The group will meet at the Thomas Darling House, 1907 Litchfield Turnpike, to begin the hike, which will last roughly two hours. Parking will be available at the Darling House parking lot.
Hikers will take the Blue Trail to the bridge across the West River, then head north east on the red and blue trail to the West Rock Ridge North Summit Trail. This will take the group to the Regicides Trail and Lookout point, located at the top of West Rock Ridge State Park. The views of Lake Dawson and the West River Valley are spectacular! The hike will include climbing a steep slope on rocky terrain -- this is a slightly challenging hike. For further information please call Conservation Commission member Frank DeLeo at 203 464 7422.
