The Department of Public Works has a tree pruning, and when necessary, removal program in effect. The department contracts a vendor to prune and/or remove limbs of Town trees when necessary. The vendor is a licensed arborist and works in conjunction with our Director of Public Works, Warren Connors, and Public Works Foreman, Adam Parsons. Warren is the Town's Tree Warden and Adam is the Deputy Tree Warden. Both are familiar with various diseases and conditions for the different types of trees throughout Woodbridge.
If you see a dead tree or limb on town property, that may be a concern, please contact Warren Connors at 203-389-3421 or
email Warren. Please give a brief description and location of the tree and/or limb in question, and reference if you would like a return call or email.
Utility Tree Removal/Trimming
The Town of Woodbridge is participating in the utilities’ Vegetation Management program. Under state law, the utilities must conduct tree work to protect overhead electric wires.
Each year United Illuminating submits a list of streets to the Tree Warden where they plan to work over the course of the year:
