Out of an abundance of caution the Town has decided to close the Transfer Station this afternoon beginning at 12:30 until the tower contractor (Norcom) can evaluate the safety of the radio tower at the Transfer Station. It seems to have been damaged and is slightly bent with loose guide wires. As it is over 100ft tall, it could cause a serious issue if it were to fall. We will keep you posted as to what/when the next step will be in removing the tower.
