First Selectman Beth Heller and Public Works Director Warren Connors announced today that the Public Works Department will be providing a special brush and tree limb pick-up of Tropical Storm Isaias related debris.
Starting on Monday Aug. 17 the Public Works crews will be coming by each street once, and one time only, to pick up storm-related debris. Residents are requested to cut limbs to 4 feet or less and place in neat piles at the curb. Public Works will not pick up tree trunks. Grass, leaves and construction debris will also not be accepted.
In addition to this service, the brush fee at the Transfer and Recycling Station has been waived through the end of August.
The Transfer Station, 85 Acorn Hill Road Extension, is open Tuesday – Saturday 8:30 – 3 pm for residents with a permit. Permits may be obtained by calling the Public Works Department at 203-389-3420 or by visiting the Transfer and Recycling Station page on the Town’s website (woodbridgect.org).
The Transfer Station is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
