Hello Rec Families,
Week 4 ended with some great field trips that found our campers jumping on trampolines, shooting par on the mini golf course and tumbling at gymnastics. We also had some great fun with our regular camp activities here on campus.
As we enter week 5 we are all looking forward to our big Camp Olympics on Friday 7/28. Campers and staff will be split into Red and Blue teams and will battle it out on the field, in the pool and with carnival games. All the fun culminates with the much anticipated Staff tug o’ war.
Wednesday 7/26 will be an exciting day as we will get a visit from a member of the Harelm Wizards for an interactive show. This program is sponsored by Woodbridge Youth Services and WRD. Every summer we are very appreciative of the special programs/visitors Nancy Pfund and Woodbridge Youth Services help us bring to our campers.
Other events scheduled for week 5 include: (permission slips attached)
- Thursday 7/27: 7th, 8th graders and CITs and Volunteers are headed to 6 Flags New England in Agawam, MA for some big thrills.
- Thursday 7/27: Pre-School campers are headed to The Children’s Museum in New Haven for lots of hands on activities.
Week 6 update: We will run an extended day program to fill in the gap as Beecher will not be running any programs this week- Separate registration is required- form is attached. We must have a minimum of 10 campers to run this program.
Summer fun at its best!
