Who Elementary school students
Cost: $85.00
In case of inclement weather, runners will meet at BRS South GYM for indoor training.
The program is designed to introduce interested students to walking/running for fitness and help them gain confidence in their running. At the same time, youngsters that already have running club experience, will be able to run 1 - 4 miles on gravel paths and trails. Children will learn a variety of running concepts - including proper stretching and running techniques, pacing, training methods, proper hydration and nutrition.
Bus transportation to Beecher Road School at the end of each morning (approx. 8:20 a.m.) will be provided courtesy of B and B Transportation. Children may use the locker room facilities at BRS before school starts, if necessary. In order to take advantage of the bus service, participants must register in advance at the Woodbridge Recreation Department Office.
