Oak Lane Tennis Club, under the new ownership of tennis professional Chris Raffone, announced its Grand Re-Opening earlier this year. Raffone is also the Head Boys Varsity Coach at Amity Regional High School and Summer Head Tennis Professional at the Woodbridge Club.
The club is on the grounds of the former private Oak Lane Country Club.
The club is open to the public, has four newly resurfaced Har-Tru Green Clay indoor tennis courts and state-of-the-art lighting. In addition to seasonal and hourly court rentals, there are programs geared toward players of all ages and levels, including group and private lessons, drills, boot camps and clinics. There are also junior programs, leagues and USTA teams. The facility is open seven days a week.
Memberships are available but not required.
Woodbridge First Selectman Beth Heller visited the tennis club to view the renovations and congratulate Raffone.
“I am very excited about our renovated indoor facility,”said Raffone. “With the recent upgrades, we are the place to play on Har-Tru courts year-round.”
