At a special joint meeting of the Boards of Selectmen and Finance on November 8th, Police Chief Frank Cappiello and Fire Chief Sean Rowland presented information on the upgrade of the Town's Radio Simulcast System. The Selectmen set a date for a Special Town Meeting to take place on Tuesday, December 5th 2017 at 7:30 pm in the Center Gym, 4 Meetinghouse Lane. The purpose of the meeting was to consider and act upon a funding request for improvements to the radio system. Click the following link to read the notice of the Special Town Meeting.
UPDATE: No action was taken at the Special Town Meeting on December 5th because a quorum was not present. The Boards of Selectmen and Finance voted to approve the funding for the Emergency Radio System at a pair of meetings which took place at 8:00 pm after the Special Town Meeting was adjourned on December 5th.
